Decorative laser-cut panels set into a gate frame add real appeal and a point of difference to your property. Jules has designs from past jobs, including tūī, koru, flax, toetoe, birds, palm fronds and a tree of life, but the options are endless. He works with a very skilled designer who can convert a photo or image you have into a file that can be laser cut.
Aluminium or Corten steel
Panels can be cut from aluminium sheet and powder coated, or from Corten steel. Corten is a weathering steel designed to rust on the surface but not rust away. Its warm, rusted colour stands out against charcoal or black aluminium.
Make the design stand out
A very effective way to make a design pop is to have the panel in a contrasting colour to the frame. Decorative panels can go into double swing, single swing, sliding and pedestrian gates, and into matching fence panels and screens.

What is Corten?
Corten is a weathering steel that develops a rust-coloured surface layer. It is designed to rust but not rust away, and its warm look stands out against dark aluminium.

Yes. Pick a design from past jobs, bring your own idea, or send a drawing.
What colours can I choose?
Gates and panels are powder coated, and there are many colours to choose from. Charcoal, black and white are common, and colours can be matched to your joinery or fence.
How long does a custom gate take?
On average about 3 to 4 weeks from the 50% deposit to installation. It can be as short as 2 weeks, or a little longer, depending on materials, workload, powder coating and the weather. Jules will give you a timeframe with your quote.
